Why Utah?
Well, there are several reasons. We could argue that it's central to Toni's family members in Idaho and Jim's family in Iowa, but that would be a little bit of a stretch, wouldn't it? The real story is that around the time we were first talking about taking the plunge we were visiting Deer Valley. One glorious moment at a quaint, little French place we stumbled into, (quite literally for those of you who know how good Toni is at navigating icy sidewalks like the ones that Park City sees in the winter season - Jim) we gazed into each other's eyes, and we agreed that it would be the perfect spot for a wedding reception. The rest soon followed.
Another important benefit is that we know a lot of you that needed a good excuse to get out of town. Who better to play with than your closest friends and family, especially to celebrate such a fantastic occasion?!
For those of you unfamiliar with the locale, imagine a quaint town setting nestled in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Then throw in a little culture and you're visualizing Park City!
(It also allowed Jim to keep holding on to his life-long dream of having Donny and Marie Osmond sing with the band at the wedding, however tenuous that dream may be. - Toni)
